Sherry Breslin, MS

Sherry works with both individuals and couples of all ages. She previously worked in private psychiatric settings, working with the adult population with a full range of diagnoses. She has also worked on a women’s unit treating anxiety, depression, anger, betrayal, grief and traumatic abuse. She is trained in parenting education and win-win conflict resolution, is engaged in ongoing training in System for Analyzing Verbal Interaction (SAVI), and seeking Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) certification.

Sherry is a pre-licensed counselor pursuing licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Cairn University.

She has an eclectic approach, as she understands each person is unique and complex. EFT, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), polyvagal theory (as well as others) inform her approach to counseling. Sherry uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches to transform the heart, mind, and nervous system for more effective living. She implements a process oriented approach while setting goals to promote the life changing results that each individual desires.

Sherry enjoys getting to know each client and the life events that have shaped the way they interact with others and the world. She aims to discover where each client is at in the therapeutic process in order to meet each client where they are. As a counselor she desires to promote healing by helping clients find restoration of their sense of self and living the fullness they were created to live.
